Close Shave For 2 As Moving Car Catches Fire In Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A moving car went up in flames near Lanjipani police station in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Tuesday. Two persons travelling in the car had a close shave as they moved out of the vehicle immediately after noticing smoke.

Sources said the vehicle was proceeding from Telkoi to Keonjhar when its driver notice smoke emanating from the bonnet near Kanjipani police station and immediately stopped the car.

Both the driver and another person on board had a narrow escape as they acted swiftly and moved out of the car before the blaze engulfed the vehicle.

On being informed, the local firefighters rushed the spot and doused the flames. However, the vehicle was virtually reduced to ashes before the fire was completely extinguished.

While the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, a short circuit in the wiring is being suspected to have triggered the fire.
