Sundargarh: Nearly 20 people had a close shave when their boat capsized in Ib river in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Thursday.
According to media reports, before the incident, the boat had made a trip in the morning from Badmal village under Sundargarh Sadar police limits to Dainidih, ferrying 38 villagers, including women and children.
While returning back to Badmal, the boat, ferrying 16 men and four women, overturned. All the villagers managed to swim to safety, the reports said.
