Jashipur: Seven members of a family had a narrow escape after a truck rammed into a roadside house at Mahardapalasa Chhak in Jashipur area in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district late on Friday.
According to sources, the vehicle was heading to Suakathi in Keonjhar from Tata along NH-220 and rammed into the house of one Gadadhar Mahanta when the driver lost control over the steering.
A sudden explosion-like sound had the family awake up from sleep and rush to their safety.
On being informed, Jashipur police reached the spot and seized the truck.
Further investigation is underway.
