Bhubaneswar: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader KV Singhdeo and his wife Sangeeta had a narrow escape after the SUV in which they were travelling met with an accident on Tuesday afternoon.
The duo was returning to Patnagarh from Sonepur when the SUV rammed into a truck near Khambeswaripali in Sonepur district. Though the couple escaped unhurt, the vehicle was badly damaged in the accident.
While KV is the BJP legislature party leader in the outgoing Odisha Assembly and MLA candidate for the Patnagarh Assembly seat, Sangeeta is the party’s MP candidate from Balangir.
