Sonepur: It was a close shave for seven members of a family when a car ploughed into their mud house at Sansamura Square in Mahadevpali under Binika police limits in Odisha’s Sonepur district in the early hours of Sunday.
According to sources, the accident took place when the car, en route to Binika from Sonepur, veered off the road and crashed into the house. Two members of the family sustained minor injuries. The driver fled the spot leaving behind the vehicle immediately after the accident.
It is being suspected that the car is filled with marijuana. It will be opened in the presence of a local magistrate, sources added.
Notably, a car had met with an accident near the same spot last year and huge quantity of ganja was recovered from the vehicle.
