Close Shave For Sourav Ganguly In Road Accident While Travelling From Bengal District To Kolkata

Kolkata: Former India cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly had a close shave after his car met with an accident on Thursday night while he was returning to Kolkata from West Bengal’s Burdwan district for an event, reports claimed. His car was involved in a collision at Dantanpur on the Durgapur Expressway.

The accident occurred when a lorry suddenly overtook Ganguly’s convoy, forcing his driver to apply the brakes abruptly, India Today reported. This caused the cars behind Ganguly’s vehicle to collide with each other and in the process the former skipper’s car was also hit.

According to reports, the accident occurred amid inclement weather in the area. Reports also claimed that one of the cars in his convoy suffered minor damage. Ganguly’s car, despite being hit, had not suffered major damages. His driver was also unhurt.
