Hyderabad: Vijay Deverakonda had a close shave after his car was involved in an accident near Undavalli in Telangana’s Jogulamba Gadwala district on Monday.
The actor, who recently got engaged to fellow-artist Rashmika Mandanna, was travelling in his SUV – a Lexus – when it collided with a Bolero which suddenly made a right turn.
He shifted to another vehicle and continued his journey towards Hyderabad.
Vijay assured his fans that he was doing well, though his head ‘hurts’.
“All is well. The car took a hit, but we are all fine. Went and did a strength workout as well, and just got back home. My head hurts, but nothing a biryani and sleep will not fix. So, the biggest hugs and my love to all of you. Don’t let the news stress you,” Vijay wrote in a post on X.

Police said Vijay was travelling from Puttaparthi.
“Actor Vijay Deverakonda was travelling from Puttaparthi to Hyderabad around 3 pm when a Bolero vehicle ahead suddenly turned right, causing his car to collide with its left side. Vijay and two others were in the car. Thankfully, no one was injured. He immediately switched to another vehicle, and his team filed a complaint with the police for insurance purposes,”
Vijay visited Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Prasanthi Nilayam ashram with his family on Sunday.
