Close Shave For Workers As Under-Construction Flyover Collapses

Gurugram: Workers engaged in the construction of a flyover on Dwarka-Gurugram expressway had a narrow escape when a portion of the bridge collapsed on Sunday.

Two large concrete slabs came unstuck, but luckily there was no loss of life. Three workers suffered minor injuries.

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) officials said a technical committee will be set up to investigate the mishap, which occurred near Daulatabad village.

Police, SDRF and civil defence Gurugram personnel arrived at the spot and cordoned off the area. SDRF team is checking if any worker is trapped under the concrete slabs.
