Mumbai: Malaika Arora was on Sunday discharged from a private hospital after being treated for some minor injuries that she suffered when her car was involved in an accident on Saturday evening.
It was a close shave for the model-actress, who was travelling back to Mumbai after attending a fashion event in Pune. Her car rammed into two other vehicles on the Mumbai-Pune expressway.
Malaika was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Navi Mumbai.
She had forehead injuries, close to the eye, and needed a few stitches, according to reports. A CT scan revealed no damage, and she was discharged after being kept under observation overnight.
Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, who has been in a steady relationship with Malaika for some years, was with her when she returned to her Bandra home.
Malaika’s sister Amrita Arora also went to meet her with family.
IndiaToday.in quoted an acquaintance of Malaika as saying that she had been shaken by the incident but was otherwise doing fine.
