Baripada: The closure of Similipal National Park in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district has been extended by a day in view of Cyclone Jawad-induced rains which are likely to lash the district in the next 24 hours.
The national park will remain out of bounds for tourists on December 6.
Earlier, it was closed for two days on December 4 to 5 as a precautionary measure in view of impending cyclone Jawad and heavy rainfall forecast for Odisha.
