Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday approved 21 projects worth Rs 1.33 crore for four panchayats of Gajapati, Khurda, Kalahandi and Cuttack districts under the ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ Scheme .
The Chief Minister approved seven projects each for Badagosani (Gajapati) and Palatotapada (Khurda) panchayats. Similarly, he also gave approval to seven projects for Lanjigarh road (Kalahandi) and six projects for Jasapada (Cuttack) after holding discussion with the sarpanchs of the concerned panchayats through video conferencing at state secretariat here.
On the occasion, the CM sought cooperation from the public to implement different welfare projects in an effective manner and asked the officials concerned to step up efforts for working out strategies for the same.
Among others, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan, Principal Secretary of Panchayati Raj department and collectors of different districts were present.
Meetings with the people’s representatives of different panchayats is being held on every Wednesday and Friday since launch of the Ama Gaon Ama Bikash on March 5.
