Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday approved Rs 1.5 crore for the development of infrastructure and other facilities at three panchayats of Kendrapara, Keonjhar and Sundargarh districts.
Reviewing the Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Programme at state secretariat, the Chief Minister sanctioned the amount for the development of nine projects for Rajagad Panchayat in Kendrapara district, eight projects for Gadadhar Panchayat in Keonjhar district and eight projects for Mahulapalli Panchayat in Sundargarh district.
The Chief Minister, through videoconferencing, interacted with the sarpanches of these panchayats and approved the projects after taking their proposals into consideration.
The meeting was attended by development commissioner R Balakrishnan, panchayati raj secretary, collectors of the concerned districts and other senior government officials.
The Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Programme was launched by the CM on March 5 on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Divas. Under the programme, Naveen interacts with villagers twice a week.
