Bhubaneswar: Farmers of Anandpur block in Keonjhar district met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here on Thursday.
They were in Odisha capital to participate in a farmers’ awareness programme, which began on Wednesday.
After the training, 51 farmers, including 11 women, visited the CM at his residence and discussed farming with him.
Naveen enquired about various training programmes and farming in their area. He also advised them to avail benefits under different agriculture-based schemes.
The farmers were imparted training in horticulture, pisciculture and other modern techniques of farming during the programme.
Notably, farmers of all 314 blocks of the state will be provided training under this programme and meet the CM phase-wise.
