Bhubaneswar/Dhenkanal: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday dedicated 30 new police stations constructed across the state.
The chief minister inaugurated the newly built police station at Maitri Vihar in Bhubaneswar on the day. He dedicated other police stations from this place through video-conferencing.
The new police stations are located in 23 police districts in the state. While 3 police stations are located in Cuttack district, two each are in Jajpur, Kendrapada, Angul and Ganjam districts.
One of the new police stations is located at Mahabirod in Dhenkanal district. This police station will look after law and order in around 10 panchayats.
Dhenkanal MP Mahesh Sahu, Parjang MLA Nrusingh Charan Sahu, additional district collector, SP, CDMO and member of 10 panchayats were present at the function held in Dhenkanal on the occasion.
