Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday felicitated 34 persons with Nagar Bandhu (Urban Friend) Award for their remarkable contribution to development of the state capital on the occasion of Local Self Governance Day.
Those felicitated include members of various social organisations, traffic personnel and senior citizens.
The Chief Minister also distributed tricycles among some differently-abled persons and unveiled the annual magazine of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) titled ‘Ahwan’.
“I congratulate all the citizens of Bhubaneswar on the occasion of All India Local Self Governance Day. I hope the BMC will continue its hard work to provide better civic amenities to the people,” Naveen said.
