Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday felicitated young culture enthusiast Prateek Pattanaik for his effort to revive dying folk arts.
The CM tweeted, “He is only 18 but his passion for Odisha’s culture & heritage, his dedicated work to document & revive our dying art forms transcends boundaries of age. Delighted to meet the inspiring @pattaprateek. Congratulated him on his sterling efforts & assured support in his endeavours.”
In his reply, Prateek retweeted, “Today, the CM’s Office reached out to me. Hon’ble CM @Naveen_Odisha felicitated me and promised to extend help for our work in cultural preservation. I am grateful to find our work being recognised and I hope we can continue preserving more of Odisha’s dying folk arts.”
Prateek has made documentaries on various regional folk traditions like Duari, Bharata Leela, Prahallada Nataka etc.
Recently, he has made a documentary movie on a dying performing art form of Ganjam district of Odisha, Prahallada Nataka.
