CM Grants Rs 46.78 Cr For 10 Blocks Under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana

 

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday sanctioned Rs 46.78 crore for 202 panchayats in 10 blocks of nine districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.

The Chief Minister sanctioned the amount for 1,957 projects after interacting with the block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.

Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 3.80 crore has been earmarked for 126 projects in 19 panchayats of Balishankar block in Sundargarh district, Rs 6.50 crore for 416 projects in 30 panchayats of Balikuda block in Jagatsinghpur district, Rs 8.25 crore for 375 projects in 36 panchayats of Odagaon block in Nayagada district and Rs 4.50 crore for 201 projects in 18 panchayats of Thakurmunda block in Mayurbhanj district.

The CM also sanctioned Rs 4.14 crore for 217 projects in 18 panchayats of Jujumara block of Sambalpur district, Rs 4.62 crore for 147 projects in 21 panchayats of Barshapala block of Keonjhar district, Rs 4.72 crore for 130 projects in 18 panchayats of Anandpur block of Keonjhar district, Rs 4.75 crore for 147 projects in 19 panchayats of Belaguntha block in Ganjam district, Rs 3 crore for 130 projects of 12 panchayats of Dabunga block in Nabarangpur district and Rs 2.50 crore for 64 projects of 11 panchayats of Dumuribandha block in Kandhamal district.

Adding today’s sanctioned amount, the Chief Minister has allocated a total of Rs 1034.63 crore for 41,932 projects in 4,575 panchayats of 210 blocks.

More than 1.5 lakh people were present in the programme.

 It may be noted, that under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana, the Chief Minister is discussing the proposals directly with the villagers and then he is sanctioning the amount for the proposed projects.
