Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high-level review meeting on Tuesday to assess security arrangements and administrative preparedness for the upcoming visit of President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Odisha
Notably, President Murmu and PM Modi are scheduled to grace a mega event to be held at Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district on June 20 to mark the successful completion of two years of the state government and 12 years of the central government.
Officials said key aspects of the v
isit, including VVIP movement, security protocols, venue management, traffic regulation, crowd control, and emergency medical services were discussed threadbare during the meeting.
The Chief Minister directed the Director General of Police (DGP), Home Department, Intelligence Wing, and senior police officials to ensure foolproof security arrangements and prevent any lapse during the high-profile visit.
Officials were instructed to maintain seamless coordination between central security agencies and the Odisha Police and execute all arrangements strictly according to the approved security blueprint.
Special attention should be given to maintaining unhindered movement of emergency services, including ambulances.
Preparations for the high-profile visit of the President and Prime Minister have entered the final phase, with all departments working in coordination to ensure a smooth, secure, and successful programme.
The visit will see the foundation stone laying and inauguration of projects worth thousands of crores for Odisha and Mayurbhanj.
Chief Secretary Anu Garg, DGP YB Khurania, ACS Home Hemant Sharma, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
