CM Majhi Visits Khurda Industrial Parks, Pledges Full Support For Garment & Defence Units



Khurda: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Sunday visited manufacturing facilities at Industrial Parks in Odisha’s Khurda, interacting with promoters and workers while assuring comprehensive administrative support for operations and future expansions.

The visit also highlighted the government’s robust ecosystem support, spanning employment-intensive sectors to high-tech strategic manufacturing.

The Chief Minister first toured the state-of-the-art facility of Trimetro Garments India Pvt Ltd (EPIC Group), a Hong Kong-headquartered apparel manufacturer making its debut in India. The unit, established with an investment of approximately Rs 376 crore, has become a flagship project, showcasing the state’s rapid execution from groundbreaking in April 2025 to full operations in under a year.

ands including Uniqlo, focuses on exports to markets in Europe and Japan. It is positioned as India’s first fully net-zero carbon and net-zero water garment manufacturing campus and holds significant employment potential of over 7,000 jobs, with a large proportion expected to be women, promoting inclusive growth. This unit has placed Odisha on the global fashion map, an official release said.

Later, CM Majhi visited the Mundamba Industrial Park facility of Anadrone Systems Private Limited, a key player in strategic defence manufacturing. The company has invested Rs 96.86 crore and is expected to generate 165 jobs.

During the visit, the Chief Minister reviewed operations and witnessed live demonstrations of advanced defence equipment, including aerial targets, target launchers, trailers, ground support equipment, and ground stations currently under fabrication.

At both units, CM Majhi held detailed interactions with the promoters and employees. He highlighted Odisha’s business-friendly policies, robust infrastructure, and execution-focused ecosystem, reiterating the government’s commitment to fostering diverse, high-value industries ranging from employment-intensive apparel manufacturing to high-tech defence production.
