New Delhi: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi arrived in New Delhi on Thursday to participate in Odisha Food Pro 2026, the state government’s first dedicated food processing investment event to be organised outside the state.

The mega event is aimed at taking Odisha’s food processing potential directly to national industry leaders and investors.

During his two-day visit, the Chief Minister will also lead a series of strategic engagements with industry leaders to promote investment across the sectors.

Organised by the Odisha government in association with ASSOCHAM, the event will bring together leading food processing companies, investors, exporters, MSMEs, industry associations and sector experts to deliberate on opportunities across the food processing value chain.

The programme will feature the exchange of investment MoUs showcasing Odisha’s resource strengths, progressive policy framework and expanding opportunities in food processing, FMCG and value-added manufacturing.

Speaking ahead of the event, Industries, Skill Development & Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, said: “Odisha Food Pro 2026 is a landmark initiative by the Government of Odisha to present the State’s food processing strengths on a national platform. I express my sincere gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi for his visionary leadership in taking this initiative beyond Odisha and creating a direct interface with the country’s leading industry. This reflects the Government’s commitment to attracting quality investments, creating value for our farmers and entrepreneurs, and building a globally competitive food processing ecosystem.”

Officials said the two-day New Delhi outreach reflects the government of Odisha’s focused approach towards investment promotion through direct industry engagement. The outcomes are expected to accelerate project grounding, deepen sector-specific partnerships and further strengthen Odisha’s position as one of India’s most preferred destinations for manufacturing and food processing investments.
