Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will lead a high-level Odisha delegation to an investors’ meet in Dubai on September 8 and 9.
Majhi’s visit to one of the world’s top business hubs is part of the state government’s push to attract foreign direct investment.
State Industries minister Sampad Chandra Swain will accompany CM Majhi to the Dubai investors’ meet.
The chief minister will highlight investment opportunities across sectors such as metals and downstream manufacturing, petrochemicals, green energy and green hydrogen, food processing, textiles and apparel, electronics system design and manufacturing, and ports and logistics.
The state government has been projecting Odisha as an emerging industrial powerhouse with an investor-friendly ecosystem.
The CM has already led investor roadshows in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and New Delhi, pitching Odisha as a growth engine for eastern India under the Centre’s Purvodaya vision.
Last month, Odisha signed an MoU with Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company (IHC Group), in partnership with the Adani Group, for a mega integrated aluminium project at a cost of around Rs 1.10 lakh crore.
