Chennai: Several major US companies are expected to move out of China following differences between White House and Beijing over issues like the global Covid-19 pandemic. Many countries, including India, are looking to pounce on this opportunity and lure those global companies to their shores.
Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi Palaniswami has made a move and written to Apple CEO Tim Cook, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Samsung and 10 other global companies, inviting them to set up business in the south Indian state.
It was learnt that Palaniswami promised to provide the foreign companies customised incentive packages if they show interest.
