Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will review the performance of three more departments at the State Secretariat here on Thursday.
The chief minister will conduct performance appraisal of the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water, Agriculture and Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare departments.
On the first day, Naveen had reviewed the performance of School and Mass Education, Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Development and Law and Family and Welfare departments while that of Higher Education and Industries departments was done on Wednesday.
With the BJD government in Odisha due to complete the fourth year of its fourth term on May 21, the chief minister, in a letter to all the ministers, had informed them about the review meeting which will be held in the presence of the secretaries of the departments concerned.
During the meeting, the ministers will apprise the chief minister of the three major achievements and success of their departments. After assessing the performance, the chief minister will issue a report card.
Naveen had also informed the ministers that on the completion of the fourth term of his government, success and achievement of all departments will be discussed in the meeting of the council of ministers and made known to the people of the state.
He had told the ministers that the people have to be informed on how far his party has been able to fulfill the promises made in the 2014 Assembly election manifesto.
While reviewing the performance of the Higher Education department on Wednesday, the chief minister had advised minister Ananta Das and secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra to make the department more proactive in improving standards of higher education. The minister informed that efforts are on to provide coaching facility to the aspiring students, preparing for Civil Services Examinations.
Besides, Naveen had also directed the Industries department to make sincere efforts for revival of sick industries in the state.
