Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday reviewed the progress of work for various under-construction high-rise buildings being carried out by works department and IDCO and directed the officials concerned to complete the same within the stipulated time.
In the crucial meeting held at state secretariat here, the Chief Minister asked the officials to pay special attention towards quality of the work.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that the works department has constructed as many as six high-rise buildings in Bhubaneswar and target has been set for completion of construction work for a nine-storey high rise building of the general administration department by July this year. An amount of Rs 124 crore has been spent for this purpose.
Similarly, the ongoing construction work for the new ‘Abhishek Hall’ of Raj Bhawan here will be completed by December this year. An estimated amount of Rs 19 crore will be invested in this regard.
The meeting also discussed about several building projects of works department including a 300-vehicle capacity multi-level car parking place, institute of mathematics hostel building, new court complex of Bhubaneswar court and other government hostels.
