Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday sanctioned Rs 27.51 crore for 134 panchayats in six blocks of six districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
The Chief Minister sanctioned the amount for 1,303 projects after interacting with the block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 4.20 crore has been earmarked for 193 projects in 22 panchayats of Jayapatana block in Kalahandi district, Rs 6.578 crore for 455 projects in 31 panchayats of Nimapada block in Puri district, Rs 3.71 crore for 178 projects in 14 panchayats of Kantapada block in Cuttack district and Rs four crore for 199 projects in 20 panchayats of the Loisingha block in Balangir district.
The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 6.50 crore for 194 projects in 26 panchayats of Sanakhemundi block in Ganjam district and Rs 2.52 crore for 84 projects in 21 panchayats of Rayagada block in Gajapati district.
More than 50,000 people were present in today’s programme, held in six blocks.
Adding today’s sanctioned amount, the Chief Minister has allocated a total of Rs 684.41 crore for 27,890 projects in 2,984 panchayats of 129 blocks.
Under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana, the Chief Minister discusses the proposals directly with the villagers and then he sanctions the amount for the proposed projects.
