Cuttack: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated 182 piped water supply projects for 64 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) through video conferencing during a function organised at the Indoor Stadium here on Friday.
The projects amounting to Rs 157 crore aim at providing safe drinking water to around 90 per cent population of Cuttack.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones of 555 new watershed projects worth Rs 783 crore to cater the needs of the residents of 101 ULBs in the state.
Earlier in the day, Naveen had inaugurated a water testing laboratory at Palasuni in Bhubaneswar. The laboratory has been set up at an estimated cost of Rs 66 crore, official sources said.
