Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has issued an ultimatum to the Kalyan Mandaps not having No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
According to official sources, the owners of the Kalyan Mandaps in the city have been directed to obtain the NOCs by June 15. It has warned of stern action against those facilities not having the NOC by the scheduled date.
The civic authorities issued the ultimatum after it was brought to its notice that several Kalyan Madaps were operating without following the CMC’s norms on various parameters including parking space, garbage disposal, fire safety and others.
Earlier, the CMC had made it mandatory for the Kalyan Mandaps to obtain the NOCs which would be issued by it after its officials inspect and ascertain that those meet the basic facilities.
The civic authorities have also requested the people to check the NOC of the Kalyan Mandaps before taking those on rent for their functions.
