CMO Issues Advisory For Cyclone Fani

Bhubaneswar: Taking note of the extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani, which is less than 300 km off the Odisha coast, the state government on Thursday issued an advisory for the people in the coastal districts to take precautionary measures to ensure their safety.

In a release, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has advised the people to stay indoors on Friday morning as the wind velocity of the cyclonic storm will reach around 200 kmph after its landfall by 10 am. Besides, it has also advised the people to close all business and trading establishments and stop using vehicles during the landfall.

People have been advised to stay indoors until the cyclonic storm crosses the coast.
