Bhubaneswar: Cold wave conditions are likely to continue over some parts of Odisha over the next 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its midday bulletin issued at 1 pm on Sunday.
Dry weather is most likely to prevail over the state over the next two days, while shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur in some districts.
The IMD forecast rain over north Odisha districts on February 9 and 10.
There will be no large change in minimum temperature during the next two days, which will gradually rise by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius thereafter, the IMD said.
Feb 7 (8.30 am)
Dry weather most likely to prevail over Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam and Koraput.
Yellow warning: Cold wave conditions very likely to prevail over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Sonepur, Bolangir and Kalahandi.
Feb 7 (8.30 am) to Feb 8 (8.30 am)
Dry weather most likely to prevail over the state. Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Dhenkanal, Angul, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput.
Yellow warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Angul and Dhenkanal.
Feb 8 (8.30 am) to Feb 9 (8.30 am)
Dry weather most likely to prevail over the state. Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.
Yellow warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati and Kandhamal.
Feb 9 (8.30 am) to Feb 10 (8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur and Deogarh and dry weather most likely to prevail over the other districts.
Feb 10 (8.30 am) to Feb 11 (8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha and dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of south Odisha.
