Cold Wave Grips Interior Odisha; Sonepur Records 9.6°C

Bhubaneswar: Most parts of interior Odisha came under the grip of a cold wave on Sunday with a further fall in the night temperature.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in a morning bulletin said that the temperature recorded till 5.30 am was lowest in Sonepur with 9.6 Degree Celsius while the temperature came down to below 15 Degrees at 10 other places — Angul (11), Baripada (14.2), Jharsuguda (13), Keonjhar (13.8), Sambalpur (14.7), Bhawanipatna (12.2), Balangir (14.6), Koraput (11.6), Phulbani (10.5) and Daringbadi (10.5).

The temperature remained within 20 Degrees in the remaining places of the state.

The IMD has predicted a further fall in the night temperature by 2-3°C over the coastal districts and by 1-2°C over the interior districts in the next two days.
