Bhubaneswar: Mercury plummeted below 10 degree celsius in six places of Odisha on Thursday night, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Department tweeted on Friday.
G Udayagiri recorded the lowest of 3.2 degree Celsius, followed by Phulbani (5.5 degree Celsius), Daringbadi (6.5 degree Celsius), Koraput (9.5 degree Celsius) and Balangir and Bhawanipatna at 9.8 degree Celsius.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded a minimum temperature of 13 and 12.6 degree Celsus respectively.
The Met office further said that Bhawanipatna, Phulbani, G Udayagiri and Balangir are experiencing intense cold wave conditions.
Dry weather will prevail in the state over the next 24 hours with shallow to moderate fog at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda and Puri, it added.
The weatherman has also forecast light rain at one or two places in Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on Saturday and issued yellow warning of dense fog at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack and Angul.
