Bhubaneswar: Cold wave condition continued to prevail across Odisha as with Semiliguda in Koraput registering the lowest temperature of 7.3 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
The regional centre of India Meteorological Department, in its morning bulletin stated that as many as 8 places in the state recorded less than 11 degree Celsius.
Three places in Phulbani district reported less than 10 degree. While Phulbani shivered at 8 degree Celsius, Daringibadi registered 9 degree and G Udaygiri 8.4 degree.
Sonepur recorded 10.4 degree Celsius, Jharsuguda and Koraput 10.6 degree and Keonjhar 10.8 degree while Nayagarh registered maximum 31.4 degree Celsius.
The Met office has forecast moderate rainfall activity in some districts of Odisha on February 3-4 under the influence of an approaching western disturbance.
Isolated thunderstorm accompanied by hail is also likely in some districts of the state during this period, it said, adding that rainfall activity will decrease thereafter.
