Bhubaneswar: Most parts of interior Odisha came under an intense cold wave on Wednesday with the night temperature hovering around 15 degree Celsius and below in 14 places.
While Daringbadi in Kandhamal district recorded the lowest temperature at 8.5°C, Sonepur recorded 9.4°C.
Besides, the night temperature came down to 15 degrees and below in Boudh (14), Titlagarh (15), Phulbani (10.5), Koraput (12.6), Balangir (14.8), Bhawanipatna (12.2), Talcher (12.3), Keonjhar (12), Jharsuguda (12.2), Baripada (12), Angul (11) and Cuttack (14).
As per the forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum night temperature is likely to be below normal by 2-3°C at many places of Odisha during the next 24 hours.
