Cold Wave Intensifies in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The cold wave condition in Odisha intensified further with temperature coming down to below 10 Degrees Celsius at 10 places on Tuesday.

As per a local Met release here in the evening, Kandhamal recorded the lowest 4 Degrees while mercury dipped below 10 Degrees in Daringbadi (5.2), Koraput (9.5), Balangir (9.8), Bhawanipatna (9.8), Hirakud (8.5), Sundargarh (7.5), Keonjhar (9.7), Jharsuguda (8.7) and Angul (9.6).

Besides, temperature also went down further in the coastal district. The twin city of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 12.4 and 11.9 Degrees Celsius respectively.

The cold wave condition will continue for six days till February 4, the release said adding that shallow and dense fog will prevail in some parts of Odisha during the period.
