Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday said the cold wave condition in Odisha will continue for the next five days.
The IMD said there will be a marginal fall in the night temperature by 1-2°C in the south coastal districts and south interior districts of Koraput and Malkangiri due to light rainfall on Sunday. However, there will be no change in the weather condition in the remaining parts of the state till December 12, it added.
According to a release by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Saturday, Daringibadi in Kandhamal district was the coldest place with 6.5°C while the temperature remained under 10°C in Sonepur (8.6), Phulbani (8) and Angul (9.6).
Besides, the temperature remained under 15°C and below in Balasore (14.9), Cuttack (14.4), Baripada (15), Jharsuguda (13.2), Keonjhar (11.2), Sambalpur (12.4), Sundargarh (11.5), Hirakud (14.1), Talcher (15), Bhawanipatna (11), Balangir (13), Koraput (10.6) and Titlagarh (11).
The temperature in Bhubaneswar was 12.8°C on Friday night and rose to 16.4°C on Saturday morning.
