Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to witness a gradual drop in the night temperature by 3 to 5 degree Celsius during the next 4 days, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre here informed on Tuesday.
One or two places in Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Balangir and Sonepur will be in the grip of cold wave conditions from 8.30 am on January 28 to 8.30 am on January 29.
Similar conditions are likely to prevail in Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Balangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul and Deogarh during the subsequent 24 hours, it said.
The MeT office has also forecast dense fog for the next two days.
Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two in Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak till 8.30 am on January 26 and Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur in the following 24 hours.
Shallow to moderate fog is also likely in coastal and interior Odisha during this period.
The state is expected to witness dry weather after a brief spell of rain at one or two places in South coastal Odisha, Rayagada, Koraput, Kandhamal and Jagatsinghpur till January 26 morning.
