Bhubaneswar: Cold weather is likely to return with a drop in nigh temperature in the state in next two days.
According to midday bulletin of the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), minimum temperature (night temperature) is very likely to fall by 3-5 degre Celsius.
Minimum temperature came down appreciably at a few places in interior Odisha and at one or two places in south coastal Odisha, while it went up at one or two places in south interior Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 31.4 degree Celsius was recorded at Cuttack and the lowest minimum temperature of 13.5 degree was registered at Jharsuguda.
The Met office said light to moderate rainfall was received at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Kandhamal and Sambalpur.
Tiring in Mayurbhanj district received maximum 19.2 mm rainfall, followed by Bhogarai in Balasore with 18 mm and Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj with 6.6 mm rainfall.
One or two places in Kalahandi and Kandhamal and south interior Odisha witnessed shallow to moderate fog.
The IMD has forecast partly cloudy sky in Bhubaneswar which is likely to have maximum temperature of 29 degree Celsisus and minimum 16 degree Celsius.
