Bhubaneswar: With the coldwave returning to Odisha, the mercury plummeted to 10.5 degree Celsius at Kerei in Sundargarh district, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Monday.
The other cities that recorded a night temperature of 15 degree Celsius and below –

The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 15.8 and 16.1 degree Celsius respectively.
Dense fog was seen in Koraput, Sonepur and Phulbani and moderate to shallow fog in Angul, Titlagarh and Bhawanipatna this morning.
According to the IMD, the night temperature is very likely to fall by about 2 degree Celsius at a few places in Odisha during the next 24 hours. It has also forecast shallow to moderate fog at one or two places in Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri and Balangir districts til 8.30 am on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a low-pressure area has formed over the south Andaman Sea and neighbourhood. The system is likely to intensify further gradually into a cyclonic storm and reach southwest Bay of Bengal by December 8.
