Sundargarh: District collector Nikhil Pawan Kalyan reviewed the progress of work on an old age home and a mental asylum in the district on Saturday.
The 200-bed modern old age home is constructed on 4.5 acre of land at Brahmanitarang near Vedvyas. Besides extending free accommodation and food to the inmates, it will provide medical consultation. It will also have facilities of indoor games, yoga practice and library.
The 100-bed mental asylum coming up on 3 acre at Karlakhaman will also provide free accommodation, food, treatment and therapy.
Financed by District Mineral Foundation (DMF), the two projects are executed by NBCC and expected to be completed by May, 2021.
Senior officer of DMF Dipu Shankar Samal and NBCC officials accompanied the collector during the visit to two sites.
