College Closed As 27 Students Test Positive For COVID In Odisha’s Cuttack Dist

Cuttack: A college was closed in Odisha’s Cuttack district after its 27 students tested positive for COVID on Thursday.

According to sources, the students of different streams in Udaynath Autonomous College of Science and Technology at Adaspur in the district tested positive for the disease following their test. Most of the students stay in the college hostel.

Following this, the principal announced closure of the college as well as the hostel for next 7 days. The hostel was sanitised after the boarders vacated it. The authorities have also undertaken sanitisation of the entire campus.

Cuttack district recorded second highest COVID cases of 88 in the last 24 hours with Khurda having the highest 183 cases. Odisha’s daily COVID cases crossed the 400 mark while active cases crossed the 2,000 mark on Thursday.
