Sundargarh: An accidental fire burnt a college girl to death in her house at Bhalu
dunguri village under Bonai police limits in Sundargarh district on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as a Plus Three student Swapneswari Munda from Lahunipada College.
Swapneswari’s dress suddenly caught fire from a kerosene lamp at around 10 pm on Monday. Though her family members could douse the fire, she suffered severe burn injuries.
The girl was rushed to Bonai Sub-Divisional Hospital where she passed away while undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the matter.
