College Student Attacked On Campus By Antisocial Elements In Cuttack

Cuttack: Tension prevailed in and around Netaji Subhas Memorial City College in Odisha’s Cuttack on Monday following a clash between two groups of students.

As per sources, some local antisocial elements regularly entered the college campus and created disturbances. They often misbehaved with women students and those who opposed their activities were targeted and manhandled.

Trouble erupted on Monday after they allegedly attacked a Plus II student, who resisted them. Trying to save him, some other students had a scuffle with the antisocial elements.

However, some other students, who encouraged the antisocial elements to loiter in the campus and eve tease women students, supported the antisocial group.

The exchange of words between the two rival groups soon escalated into severe exchange of blows. The campus turned into a mini battle field. Some alert students, however, recorded the scene and in minutes the incident went viral.

Later, an FIR was filed at Badambadi Police Station against the antisocial elements for manhandling students, eve teasing girls and creating nuisance in the campus. Police have initiated a probe into the incident, reports said.
