Balangir: A student of Government Polytechnic College in Balangir district was found hanging from the ceiling of a rented house in Santipada on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Chandrasekhar Behera, a final year diploma student.
On being informed about the incident, officials from town police station accompanied by a scientific team reached the spot and started investigation.
The body was sent for an autopsy. Neighbours told the police that Behera was under mental stress for the last few days.
