Bhubaneswar: A female teacher of a private college allegedly committed suicide at a rented accommodation in SBI Colony at Kesura here on Wednesday.
The woman was identified as Asima Nayak. She was working at Gourav College of Commerce, Management and Science, a day-cum-residential college.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by Asima’s parents, police have detained her husband for interrogation.
According to source, the teacher hang herself from a ceiling fan after a fight with her husband. She was rushed to a private hospital, where doctor declared her brought dead.
The couple has an infant child.
