WhatsApp is set to roll out some important features including one that will prevent frequently forwarded images from being downloaded.
The Facebook-owned popular messaging app is also likely to introduce an Advanced Search feature. They have already rolled out the dark mode feature on both Android and iOS.
As per WABetainfo, WhatsApp will soon be resetting the auto-download mode following which no frequently forwarded images, videos, documents and voice messages will be automatically downloaded on the app.
Once implemented, the feature will reduce data usage.
The other important feature that WAbetainfo reported is the Advanced Search which is available for WhatsApp 2.20.117 Android beta version. It enables users to search for any kind of media — images, videos etc and also GIFs — on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is in the process of developing the feature.
