Mumbai: Vivek Agnihotri is not done with ‘The Kashmir Files’.
He has now announced ‘The Kashmir Files Unreported’ as a follow-up to the 2022 film which was based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits during the insurgency there in the 1990s.
‘The Kashmir Files’, which was released on March 11 last year, created ripples in political circles as well as in the box office.
The film, which featured Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi, earned Rs 340.92 crore worldwide to become the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022.
The upcoming sequel is the result of research Agnihotri and his team did while making ‘The Kashmir Files’.
“A lot of Genocide Deniers, terror supporters & enemies of Bharat questioned The Kashmir Files. Now bringing to you the VULGAR truth of Kashmir Genocide of Hindus which only a devil can question. Coming soon #KashmirUNREPORTED. Be ready to cry,” Agnihotri posted on Twitter on Wednesday along with a short trailer of ‘The Kashmir Files Unreported’ in which glimpses of Kher are visible.
It will premiere on Zee5 on a yet-tobe-announced date.
