Commissionerate Police Bust Sex Racket At Spa In Bhubaneswar, Rescue 2 Women

Bhubaneswar: Two women were rescued after the police busted a sex racket allegedly operating in a spa and saloon near Rabi Talkies Square in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

Acting on a tip off, a team from Badagada police station conducted a at place named ‘Diamond Salon and Spa’ and unearthed the racket operating there.

Sources said the police detained a youth in connection with the racket rescued two women. They have also reportedly seized some incriminating material during the search operation. The two rescued women have been sent for medical examination.

The matter came to light after locals heard the scream of a woman who was allegedly being physically tortured and informed the police about this. It is suspected that the woman was held hostage and forced into prostitution, locals claimed.

The women was believed to have been brought with the promise of a job but later forced into prostitution, they claimed, adding that she was subjected to physical torture when she resisted.

It was further alleged that when the brother of the woman came to her rescue, he was attacked.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
