Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police will deploy 102 platoons force in Twin City of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack for Durga Puja, Police Commissioner S Dev Datta Singh said on Tuesday.
Singh highlighted enforcement of traffic regulations, controlling vehicular and non-vehicular traffic, crime prevention, and cybersecurity, which will be the focus during the festive season.
Petty crimes like chain snatching and pickpockets will also on the list and stress will be laid on fire and structural safety measures at puja pandals in the Twin City, Singh added.
Total 38 platoons of force will be deployed in Bhubaneswar and 64 platoons in Cuttack. This will be in addition to the deployment of the Central Armed Police Force, the Police Commissioner said.
Around 200 officers of Commissionerate Police will monitor proper implementation of all guidelines and norms, he added.
