Bhubaneswar: After a series of crimes in the Odisha capital, the commissionerate police has decided to adopt a new patrolling method to nab criminals.
Talking to the media on Thursday, Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty said that apart from city limits, the police will also conduct night blocking on the outskirts to check the vehicles.
“During the frisking of vehicles, police will use the fingerprint kit method through which the criminal records of the person can be identified,” he said.
Talking about the three serial loot incidents in the city on Tuesday, Mohanty said three gangs are involved in the crime. Efforts are on to trace them, he said.
