Koraput: The Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2020 is going on smoothly in Central University of Odisha (CUO).
The entrance exams are being conducted from September 18 to 20 in 14 central and 4 state universities from September 18 to 20. They are being held in 141 cities across the nation including 13 in Odisha.
Prof SK Palita, Chairman of the Admissions Committee, CUO, said, “The university stands for equity and excellence in higher education, even while enabling students across regions and states to access the best universities in the country.”
The CUO is offering 30 programs through its 14 departments for its 2020-2021 admissions.
Dr Jayant Kumar Nayak, Controller of Examinations, also expressed his satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the examination at various centres.
The CUCET is being conducted in two shifts — 10 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm.
The examination is meant for three categories of programs, namely, UG Integrated Programmes (UI), Postgraduate Programmes (PG) and Research Programmes (RP). The Test is being conducted for 72 UI programs under two test codes (UIPQ 01, UIPQ 02); 344 PG programs under 59 types of test codes (PGQP 01 to 59) and 271 RP programs under 64 types of test codes (RPQP 01 to 64).
CUO has arranged transportation facilities from the nearest town and back at the CUO campus. Special care is being given to differently-abled candidates. CUCET-2020 envisages a 100 per cent inclusive policy for accommodating all the candidates.
